During the first two weeks of chess club, beginner students can try it out, learn how the pieces move, and decide if they want to sign up for the full semester. Returning players can come help us teach the basic piece movements and rules.
After the first two weeks, we will start working on developing more chess playing and pattern recognition skills.
On Sunday, November 17th at UNM in the Student Union Building, interested students can compete for the school chess team in a large regional tournament.
